Where did you see regular pyramids? I never did.
The emphasies of tuchanka red sun always reminds me of the dark energy plot, of the importance of the sun in ancient egypt (or prehispanic cultures)
I probably need to do another playthrough with javik all along.

Re: General Chat
Some vague associative speculation about krogan ancient times.
Why is this krogan shaman standing on a red ball?
Javik comments here that the krogan chose to depict the concept of obedience in their art.
Well, on this mural, the red ball appears to be the sun in the sky.
So did that shaman defy the natural elements? If so, that sounds like divine intervention. It reminds me of asari history, with Prothean uplift being mistaken for divine intervention.
Kairos, the thresher maw that kills the Reaper, is also a concept in Christianity and Greek philosophy. "In the New Testament kairos means "the appointed time in the purpose of God", the time when God acts".
When reaching the ancient city, Javik calls the krogan a "failed species" -- they were not perfect.
Then you reach a place with three krogan statues facing each other. A squadmate asks what the place is for. He suggests some kind of memorial. I tried to look for oddities here, and the one thing I found is that the ceiling has a hexagonal opening. Well, more like a triangle with slanted corners, but technically still a hexagon (six sides). FYI.
Btw, during the Tuchanka missions I did notice pyramid-like buildings. Also in the ancient city, so probably krogan in origin.

Re: General Chat
While a pyramid is perhaps a little generic, the krogan is bowing down before it, worshiping it. Again, this religious theme of "your ancient gods are actually misinterpreted encounters".

Re: General Chat
Yes the krogans were obviously uplifted.
You discovered the picture of pyramids on tuchanka . Those pyramids do not look like the sacred city but like prothean pyramids.
Therefore the krogan are the only species who had prothean artifacts directly on their homeword just like the asari.
and this in turn explains why there's a krogan status head coming from the sacred city in Bryson's lab.

Re: General Chat
Just noticed two things that pertain to the same theme...
1) The rachni discoverd eezo because a planet close to Suen, their homeworld, got impacted by "several dozen asteroids containing large quantities of element zero. The rachni took samples of the new element back to Suen for further study." So the rachni initially evolved without the presence of eezo. So it's not required for the mere emergence of intelligent life. This reads more like someone thought they could use a little extra help. I take it this was not long before the Rachni Wars...?
2) There's a fetch quest on the Citadel that requires you get some kind of power grid for the Purgatory club. You find it in the ruins of Tuchanka, and it's stressed several times how this piece of technology is very old, yet strangely advanced. So before the collapse of the ancient krogan empire, they apparently had tech that's advanced for the standards of the current Citadel races? How? ME3 makes a point of showing how the krogan once flourished, then suddenly faced all kinds of misfortune (eg., nuclear winter, genophage). But did they previously have this tech because of their brilliant scientists? Unlikely. Maybe another case of someone uplifting them, then discarding them. Hence their condition of galactic rejects, which runs throughout the trilogy. "I am not perfect."

Yes. The association of asari with bees is very specific. If it's just some inside joke then the coincidence with our ideas is almost freakish.

Well at least it's a possible clue our bees are not too far from the mark.

Re: General Chat
It could be a huge coincidence. I noticed that a few tweets up or down, he's tweeting someone whose account name is "deliciousbees". A seemingly unrelated tweet, though.
He's tweeted other pictures of the Liara painting, sometimes with humorous text balloons. But there's also the space magic reference that SwobyJ posted on the IT forum, I think you saw it? Which seems to fall in the teasing / trolling category. Like many BW employees do on Twitter.
This one is posted as "update" -- update of what? Did they have a meeting at BW about the next ME game? I am tempted to think this is the most likely possibility.
Because I can't believe someone at BW has actually seen your picture gallery and then starts tweeting about it. I'm sorry, but we're not that famous yet.
So, this is... exciting, right? But too early to celebrate.

Re: General Chat
In theory I like it better.
Plus on a mobile device, I don't know how to skip to the latest post on this type of forum (like the IT forum). This way though, you'll always get the most recent post first.
You could look at your account settings, maybe every user can set it for himself.

Can you let me other threads? forum says I need to wait for 7 days.
i think it would be useful to open several threads, it wil allow us to retreive our speculations more easily.

Re: General Chat
After some experimenting with the blog we found out we prefer something more similar to our previous chat on Clevernoob.com.
So, let's continue here.
In the meantime, I'll see whether this forum offers some acceptable way of importing the 100+ pages of our previous chat.
Vlad, Nat, Rob... See if you can register here and post replies, and let me know, alright?

"What are the Reapers doing to the people on Earth? How many souls are in agony at this moment?" - Chakwas.
Another Reaper mention with religious/Christian undertones.
(Post this now lest I forget about it. Will likely elaborate later.)

Maybe it's because they don't want to spoil the story.
And is that just from the art book? What's Binary Helix's logo like in the game?
Yes, that art book... Some interesting stuff. Like the kid wearing a hoody with N7 sleeves... Guess it was too obvious to put in the game.

I'm currently watching the previews for dragon age inquisition.
It's all about tactics and gameplay which seems to have been tremendously upgraded since DA2 but i hear nothing about the story and personal relationships between characters.
I hope BW is not heading down the bethesda path. I think not but wait and see.
Next you can see a picture from my next gallery which will be about binary Helix.

Exactly my thought.
Dragon age will take into account everything from the previous games. I'll be damned if this doesn't work in ME4.

I thought maybe we could make a regular forum topic (Forumotion is free I think) for informal chatting, like we're doing now and like we used to do. Make it open but not draw attention to it.
And then use a blog for more "official" stuff like your pictures and whatever I think is worth sharing with the world. And then give people on the IT forum and CleverNoob a link to the blog.
How's that?

!!!! I'm just formalising what we know.
Yes I think we should use this blog as a draft and make another one for more formal publications.
There's a lot of Chora's den out there.
